International Exchange: Offers Have Been Accepted!
Spring is here and your student’s exchange application is now complete. February was an exciting month as this was when we released the exchange offers. Your student received an exchange offer for the 2023-24 academic year, for one of the schools they selected in their School Selection Survey. This offer contained the school and term for which they have been selected to go on exchange. Once received, your student had some time to decide whether to accept or decline their offer. If they chose to decline their offer, they have chosen not to participate in an exchange during the 2023-24 academic year.
After your student has (hopefully) accepted their exchange offer (and approximately 80% of the class do), their exchange journey has truly begun. To help students prepare for their exchange, there will be mandatory pre-departure sessions and events such as the “Exchange Connect” event.
"Exchange Connect" took place on Friday, March 24th and provided students the opportunity to learn more about next steps related to exchange, and network with other fellow students attending exchange in the same school/region, upper-year students who have gone on exchange and current incoming exchange students from the same school/region.
Your student will soon receive more information about mandatory pre-departure sessions. These sessions will ensure that your student is aware of what is required of them and how to best prepare for their exchange. Sessions will include topics such as how to apply to the partner school, academic preparation, medical considerations, travel and entry requirements, and career preparation.
Those students going on exchange in Winter will receive more information on sessions and events during the Fall term.
