Never underestimate the value of the Queen’s brand. Although Queen’s Master of Finance is relatively new, it is already getting significant traction in the industry. This is a great program, and what makes it truly unique is its perfect balance of theory and practice. The professors are first-rate and bring years of experience to the classroom."

CFA Partnership

The Queen’s Master of Finance program is a CFA Institute Program Partner and we maintain a close relationship with the Toronto chapter of the CFA Society. This relationship provides numerous benefits for our students, including opportunities to attend CFA events, high profile guest speakers and CFA scholarships. The Economist has called the CFA the “gold standard among investment analysis designations.”

The majority of our students have completed CFA Level 1 or 2 and some are full Charter members. However, we do provide optional preparation sessions for those interested in writing the CFA Level 1 exam in December, and the CFA Level 2 exam in June.

“The Must-Have Degree”

The Financial Times has called a Master’s degree in Finance the “must-have degree” for people pursuing a career in investment banking or asset management. The increasing globalization of the financial sector has created the need for recognized qualifications for those who work in finance.
