About the program
Conflict occurs any time that two or more people are not in agreement with one another. It may range from minor differences of opinion to entrenched, long-term disputes. Learning how to effectively engage others in constructive dialogue when conflict occurs can significantly shift the nature of relationships, stress, mental health and well-being for you and others, productivity, and the quality of solutions and outcomes. This program is designed to shift your perspective of conflict and to provide you with the understanding and tools needed to confidently address most conflict situations that may arise.
This workshop does not address dealing with trauma or situations of escalated workplace violence.
In this program you will learn to:
- Identify different sources of conflict
- Determine which type of conflict you are dealing with and how to address it
- Understand when and how to engage in conflict resolution processes
- Apply a conflict resolution process and identify the tools to use to address conflict in a constructive manner
