Any significant investment – buying a home, purchasing a car, or investing in your education – requires having all the necessary information to ensure you are making an informed decision. Indeed, Smith's Master of Financial Innovation & Technology program is a significant investment of your time and money. We are pleased to provide you a detailed overview of what exactly you are paying for and the various ways you can finance your studies.
Understanding The Program Costs
The program fee is all-inclusive. It covers tuition, books, learning materials, coaching, the Student Assistance Levy (SAL), as well as accommodations and meals during on-site sessions.

The MFIT program is not eligible for OSAP funding. We understand the importance of clear financial information, and we're sharing this to avoid any future confusion or frustration. Please take this into consideration while planning your finances for the program.
Travel Costs
Students are responsible for all travel arrangements, costs, and meeting any travel requirements.
On-site Session Costs
Accommodation is included for the opening on-site session in Kingston and for the closing on-site session in Toronto. All meals for on-site sessions are included in program fees.

Windmill Microlending offers low-interest career loans of up to $15,000 to skilled immigrants and refugees in Canada. Loans can help cover education and training program costs, licensing and qualifying exams, credentials assessment, and other career-related expenses.

Participants who pay all or part of the program fees personally are eligible to claim a tuition tax credit on the tuition portion of the fees. For more information, ask a professional income tax advisor to give you an assessment of the impact of your tuition on your personal tax situation.
You and/or your spouse may be eligible to make tax-free withdrawals from your RRSP's to help fund your education. This program is considered full-time and is eligible for withdrawals under the LLP. Please contact your income tax advisor for details.
