Asmaa Saleem Malik, CFA
Chair
Asmaa S. Malik is a seasoned financial professional with an experience of over a decade in capital markets, IPOs, investment banking, due diligence, corporate finance, financial risk management and financial analysis. She is a CFA Charterholder and a licensed insurance agent in Ontario. She is presently working as a senior analyst at Archer Private Wealth (Archer Gestion Privée Inc.). She previously worked as the Chief Listing Officer for Pakistan Stock Exchange and helped companies raise equity and debt capital to fund their growth and expansion needs. She has also worked as a financial analyst and risk manager for Pak-Arab Refinery Limited, the largest, fully integrated energy company in Pakistan’s corporate sector.

My name is Adil Virani and I am the VP, Events, Marketing & Communications at Smith Women in Finance (SWIF). Having four years of professional experience working in multiple sectors such as Banking, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and Health Care, I am committed to provide access to networking and a platform for financial empowerment for women.

She plays a crucial role in advancing SWIF's mission of empowering and promoting women in the financial industry through thoughtfully curated events and impactful initiatives.
Mahwish Yasin
VP, Networking & Business Development
Mahwish Yasin is a seasoned banking professional and excels in foreign exchange and treasury management. Her expertise includes developing customer solutions, managing FX positions, and driving sales strategies. With comprehensive market knowledge her skills encompass relationship management, risk analysis, and effective communication. Her experience spans prominent roles in top banking institutions like Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp and Emirates NBD.
Mahesh Sujanani
Director, Networking & Business Development
Mahesh brings many years of experience in the financial sector having worked for institutions at global financial centres. His expertise lies in the capital, derivatives and foreign exchange markets with an outlook on macro global economies. Currently, he runs his own practice in learning and development and corporate taxation and is a MFin’24 candidate at Smith School of Business. He Is passionate on the topic of finance and has been elected the Director of Learning and Development for the MFin’24 cohort. He has also joined SWIF (Smith Women in Finance) Networking and Business Development team in his efforts to promote, encourage and empower women in finance.
Aswathy Udayarajan
Director, Networking & Business Development
Aswathy is a Chartered Accountant (ICAI, India) and a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM, GARP) with strong experience in Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, Ethics and Compliance. To further deepen her interest in Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG), she also completed Sustainability and Climate Risk certification ( SCR, GARP). Beyond her professional pursuits, she finds joy in painting, reading, and volunteering for social causes.
