Smith’s Master of International Business allows you to study business and see the world. Choose the path that’s right for you - single degree, or double degree, with or without an internship ad-on. The curriculum covers topics ranging from understanding the global economy to leading effectively in a cross-cultural context.

Master of Finance - Beijing

  • 12 months

The Smith Master of Finance – Beijing is a one-year program starting in September.

Delivered in partnership with the Renmin University of China, the program allows students to earn a Master of Finance from Queen’s University while living and studying in Beijing, one of the world’s most dynamic financial centres.

The curriculum provides rigorous training in financial theory, quantitative analysis, and global capital markets, combined with insights into China’s rapidly evolving financial landscape. Students benefit from exposure to international faculty, industry speakers, and networking opportunities within Beijing’s financial community.

How it Works

  1. Complete Your Undergraduate Degree at StFX

    Stay in good academic standing and be on track to complete your StFX undergraduate degree.

  2. Be Nominated for the Pathway

    Eligible students are nominated by StFX to participate in the Bachelor-to-Master pathway.

  3. Apply to Your Smith Master’s Program

    Choose the eligible Smith master’s program that aligns with your background and career goals, and complete the required application for admission.

  4. Meet With Smith’s Program Team

    As a nominated pathway student, you’ll meet with the relevant Smith Program Director or designate to discuss the program and your post-graduation goals.

  5. Continue Your Studies at Smith

    If admitted, you’ll continue to Smith for your specialized master’s degree and receive a $5,000 award toward your tuition.
