Associate Professor & PWC/Tom O'Neill Professor of Accounting

Bertrand Malsch is an Associate Professor & PWC/Tom O'Neill Professor of Accounting at Smith School of Business and the 2020 recipient of the Award for Research Excellence. He is the author of numerous leading articles in international academic journals on the subject of auditing, accounting regulation and governance. His work has been presented in many scholarly and professional conferences around the world. He is a member of the Quebec Bar.

Dr. Erica Pimentel

Assistant Professor of Accounting

Erica Pimentel is an assistant professor of accounting at Smith School of Business. Her teaching focuses on financial accounting. Her research explores how technological disruption impacts the ways in which auditors engage with their work. She is a CPA and CA and worked in public accounting before entering academia.

Bijan Toufighi

Partner, Assurance, MNP

Bijan Toufighi is a partner of MNP’s Assurance and Accounting group in Toronto. He specializes in providing assurance and accounting advisory services to large- and medium-sized public companies. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA), and is involved in educating the next generation of accountants as a university instructor and through a variety of CPA Canada initiatives.

Dr. Tina Dacin

Professor & Stephen J.R. Smith Chair of Strategy & Organizational Behaviour
Tina Dacin is the Stephen J.R. Smith Chair of Strategy and Organizational Behavior at Smith School of Business and also the principal investigator of the Community Revitalization Research program. Professor Dacin teaches on leadership, change and strategy, and she advises and speaks to major corporations across numerous industries. Her research has been published in top management journals, and she has been awarded for both her teaching and research.
