The Master of Management in Artificial Intelligence is designed for working professionals, giving you the flexibility to continue advancing your career while earning your degree.
Whichever option you choose, you’ll participate in the same live classes alongside your classmates, taught by the same faculty, with the same discussions, activities, and learning outcomes.

Study from our SmithToronto facility and engage face-to-face with faculty and classmates during weekly evening and weekend classes.
This format is ideal if you live in the Greater Toronto Area or prefer an in-person learning experience.
HyFlex
Attend online
Join every class live from wherever you are and engage with faculty and classmates in real time.
This format is ideal for professionals outside the Greater Toronto Area, frequent travellers, or those looking to reduce their weekly commute.
Required On-site Sessions
Regardless of which learning format you choose, all students come together for two required on-site sessions during the program:
- Opening Session at the Smith School of Business main campus at Queen's University in Kingston
- Closing Session at SmithToronto
These sessions provide opportunities to build relationships with your cohort, participate in immersive learning experiences, and strengthen your professional network.
Team-Based Learning
The MMAI is built around team-based learning because leading AI initiatives requires collaboration across disciplines, functions, and locations.
Throughout the program, you'll work with a dedicated team of professionals attending both in person at SmithToronto and through the HyFlex learning format. Together, you'll tackle complex business challenges, apply concepts from the classroom, and learn from the diverse perspectives and experiences of your peers.
Working with the same team throughout the program mirrors today's workplace, where professionals regularly collaborate across offices, cities, and time zones. As you develop technical and strategic capabilities in analytics and AI, you'll also strengthen the communication, collaboration, and leadership skills needed to lead high-performing teams in hybrid environments.
