  • Advice for future MMA students: “Be really clear on why you’re doing the program: Is it to improve technical skills? Is it to improve communication skills? Is it both, or something else? Once you’re in the program, the work is super fast-paced, and it helps to have your ‘why’ to anchor you.”

  • Advice for future MMA students: “Be comfortable with a bit of the unknown. Take a risk and jump in, and go all in. I tried to go to every event. I joined the executive council. I really went for it. And I think it helped me get the most out of the year.”

  • Advice for future MMA students: “Get out of your comfort zone. If no one wants to present on your team, volunteer to do it. What is there to lose? The program includes a lot of opportunities to train your courage and your stage presence—and those are skills that will come in handy one day.”
