Eligibility Requirements and Supporting Documents

Admissions are competitive based on the candidate’s academic background and supporting documents as well as the overall program size. To complete an application, please ensure you meet the following criteria:

  1. A four year undergraduate degree with a B+ (77%) average.
  2. Applicants must submit a GMAT or GRE score. No exceptions will be considered.
  3. If English is not your first language, one of two English tests.

    IELTS minimum overall score of 7.5. TOEFL minimum overall score of 100 or higher.

    Any applicant whose first language is not English, but who, within the 12 month period prior to the month of application, has studied for at least one complete year at a post-secondary institution where English is the official language of instruction may apply for a waiver. View the criteria and waiver instructions.
  4. Two academic referees familiar with your research and academic potential.
  5. Resume
  6. Statement of research interests and career goals.

How to Apply

  1. Upload a copy of your official transcripts to your online application for all academic institutions attended. All applicants accepted into the program will be required to send hard copy official transcripts and degree certificates in the University sealed envelope.

  2. GMAT official scores, release to Queen’s University using Code 0250 for MSc applications and we will print a copy for your file. GRE official scores can be printed from the GRE website if released to Code 0949 for both programs.

  3. To release a TOEFL result from the ETS Test Centre, use code 0250-1. For the IELTS test, please email your TRF number your graduate assistant.

  4. Electronic reference forms will be sent to your referees upon submission of your online application and application fee. Please alert your referees these forms will be sent to them. They will be required to complete their form and submit it back to our department.

  6. Provide your Statement of Interest with your online application or email it to your Graduate Assistant. This statement should include your career goals, research interests, and your related academic field of interest background.

Application Deadline

Applications with all required documents must be complete by January 15, 2019.

As our classes do fill up quickly, we recommend you apply early.

Tuition Fees

Tuition fees are approximately $7,610 CDN per year for domestic students and $14,747 CDN per year for International students. Please follow ‘Graduate and Professional Program Fee Schedule’ from the School of Graduate Studies.
