Preparing Phenomenal Women

Smith Women in Finance (SWIF) is a committee formed by graduate students and alumni of the Smith Master of Finance Program to encourage and empower women in finance. We are a group of students who are committed to helping women better promote themselves and their financial acumen by providing opportunities, insight, resources, and a network for women in finance.

There’s a gap between education and expectation that hinders women from finding their voices. This gap can be bridged through:

  • Commitment to continuous growth: Learning from a leader and finding areas of self-improvement through a mentor.
  • Freedom of expression: Having confidence and empowerment to express bold ideas.

Vision

Developing efficient and well-rounded female professionals through opportunities that serve as bridges between real-world expectations and education.

Mission

Enhancing leadership and self-development motivations by serving as a platform for freedom of expression through discussions and writing, personality development through mentorship programs, and networking events inspired by female leaders.
