Smith Master of International Business Ranked No.1 in Canada by Financial Times

Kingston, Ont. – Smith’s Master of International Business (MIB) program has once again claimed the No. 1 spot in Canada in the newly released 2025 Financial Times ranking of global Master in Management programs.

In this year’s global ranking, Smith’s MIB program placed in the Top 100 programs worldwide, reaffirming its reputation for excellence and international impact. The program earned the 72nd spot overall with a Top 20 rank for career progression, which is determined by alumni salary and employment outcomes three years after graduation.

Smith MIB also earned a Top 15 rank for international work mobility, highlighting the global career paths of its alumni, and a Top 40 rank for international course experience, reflecting the breadth of exchange opportunities and internships available to Smith students.

Smith remains the top Canadian school to appear in the ranking, with just three other North American institutions making the prestigious list.

“This recognition confirms that the Smith MIB continues to lead in Canada and make its mark globally,” says Kerri Regan, Director, Master of International Business and Full-time MBA. “Our program delivers a transformative international experience that equips graduates to thrive in a competitive global marketplace, which is especially crucial in today’s macroeconomic climate, where strong career outcomes are more important than ever.”

The Financial Times Master in Management ranking evaluates programs across multiple dimensions, including curriculum design, return on investment, career progression, diversity, student satisfaction, and international reach.
