I came to the Full-time MBA at Smith School of Business because ...

of the unique team-based learning approach that the school offers. The Smith MBA is thoroughly connected to my career goals and after having in-depth conversations with alumni, the decision became straightforward. Also, the reputation and the post-MBA career opportunities offered by Smith were influential in helping me decide to pursue my MBA at Smith School of Business.

The entire application experience was so personalized. I felt valued and I can see that careful screening and effort were involved in creating this impressive and diverse cohort. The entire applications and admissions team answered all of my questions and provided a clear understanding of what the Smith MBA offers. Also, the application advisors, program administrative staff, professors and directors have been so welcoming that it feels like we are part of the big Smith family.

The transition for international students can be difficult but the Smith MBA helps each student ensure a smooth transition. In hindsight, the one piece of advice that I would give myself would be to invest time in having a clear vision and a more structured way of presenting information while applying for the MBA.

The best advice that I would give to an applicant would be to be true to your story. Focus on highlighting your professional and academic achievements and how you could add value to the class. The school values individuals with unique perspectives and candidates who can be coached, so I would advise the candidates to maintain this focus throughout the process.

The Smith MBA is a transformational experience, and I am aiming to become a well-rounded professional with the toolkit to one day become an inspirational leader. Also, I would like to enhance my academic skillsets and have the arsenal to enter the Canadian corporate world.
