Full Bio

Amanda Simmers is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and experienced post-secondary educator who has spent more than a decade teaching and mentoring undergraduate business students. She is also a facilitator for CPA Ontario’s Professional Education Program and is deeply committed to helping aspiring CPAs on their path to becoming confident, ethical, and engaged accounting professionals. Before transitioning into academia, Amanda worked in public accounting in both Audit and Taxation.

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours Accounting) from the University of Ottawa and an Accounting Diploma with Distinction from St. Lawrence College. She was admitted to membership with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario in 2009, and is currently completing a Master of Business Administration at Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business.
