Sarah Burrows is a professor of Entrepreneurship in the Smith School of Business at Queen's University. Sarah's research focuses on leveraging her background in psychology to understand how family dynamics influence the management of the firm and entrepreneurship across generations.

Full Bio

Sarah received her PhD in Management from the University of Central Florida in 2023 and received her M.Sc. in Management from John Molson School of Business at Concordia University in 2018.

Her research interests are in the area of entrepreneurship and family business. Although her research uses both quantitative and qualitative methodology, she is particularly passionate about qualitative methods that enable her to dig deeper into a phenomenon and connect with entrepreneurs and their families.

Sarah has published in Family Business Review and presented at conferences, such as the Academy of Management Annual Meeting, Southern Management Association Conference, and the International Family Enterprise Research Conference. She has also been awarded the 2022-2023 Social Sciences Human Research Council (SSRHC) Doctoral Fellowship Award, as well as the University of Central Florida's Dean's Dissertation completion award.
