MMA 831 - Marketing Analytics
A Term Adjunct position is available at the Smith School of Business for an instructor to teach online in our Master of Management Analytics (MMA) program. The position is available to teach the Marketing Analytics course in our Graduate Program at Smith School of Business for the fall term.
The successful applicant will be required to teach 100% of one (1) section of Marketing Analytics with an anticipated enrollment of approximately 35-70 students. Please note that all sessions of our MMA Blended program are delivered online using Zoom. There is no additional technical support for Zoom sessions, so it is very important that candidates have experience with Zoom including the creation and opening of breakout rooms, using quizzes/polls, sharing slides and documents, recording classes and monitoring the student body for questions and interactive opportunities. Instructors also have the opportunity to provide asynchronous content. This will reduce lecturing during the synchronous sessions which can be saved for interacting with the class.
MMA 831 – Marketing Analytics
The course is described as follows:
Advances in data and technological infrastructure have enabled the tracking and collection of detailed information, structured or otherwise, on customer behaviours, preferences, and attitudes towards the brands that they buy from. Organizations today expect their marketing executives to be able to understand and apply analytical frameworks to this myriad of information and data to generate insights that drive sound business decisions.
The objective of this course is to show students how to apply an analytical approach to marketing decision making in this era of "big data."
Through a combination of theory-based and hands-on learning, participants of this course will be able to learn the key set of marketing analytical techniques, including but not limited to segmentation and targeting, new product design, customer value management, and marketing mix modeling. Theoretical content will be augmented with real life applications and practitioner reflections from this field.
