“I think I’d dropped art by Grade 10,” explained Scott Lyall. So it's likely there was a high school art teacher shaking his or her head in disbelief at the thought of former student Scott being listed in Canadian Art Magazine’s Top 10 artists.
By that point in his career, the contemporary artist was represented by galleries in New York, Paris, London and his hometown of Toronto. Though Scott admitted that "art presented challenges that were huge for me," he also found that the problem-solving and organizational-thinking skills he learned in business school were greatly beneficial.
“In a way,” Scott shared with the School's Magazine in 2010, “art is about the way you live your life. It’s like a set of tools you develop to see how everything else is meaningful."
