SBFacultyBoard@queensu.caSmith School of Business Faculty Forum
The Faculty Forum is an informal body of the School; essentially the Faculty Board reconstituted as a committee of the whole.
It is intended to provide an opportunity for discussion of matters of interest outside the formal responsibilities and procedures of the Faculty Board. The Faculty Forum is meant to generate discussion, inform colleagues of ongoing initiatives, and provide a sounding board for said initiatives. Faculty Forum therefore presents an early engagement with colleagues before initiatives or changes to curriculum are taken to Faculty Board for a formal vote.
Meetings of the Forum may be called by the Faculty Forum Chair at any time, on seven (7) days’ notice by electronic, or more traditional means. Meetings may directly follow a Faculty Board meeting when it is anticipated only routine items will be presented at Board as determined by the Chair of Faculty Board. Otherwise, meetings will usually be held on the third Tuesday of each month, normally from September to May.
