Kingston, Ont. – Libro and Smith School of Business at Queen’s University have partnered to provide international students in the Full-time MBA program with access to a new student loan option.
“At Smith School of Business, we are deeply committed to creating pathways that allow the most talented students from around the world to access a Smith MBA. This partnership with Libro Credit Union reflects our shared belief that financial barriers should not limit global potential,” says Lynnette Purda, Interim Dean, Smith School of Business. “By expanding access to financing for international students, we are strengthening the diversity, perspective, and excellence that define the Smith learning experience.”
The new agreement with Libro expands Smith's financing options to support students through a pivotal time in their professional and personal lives. The program also extends Libro’s commitment to support learning and growth throughout communities, and deepens the credit union’s presence in the Kingston region following the merger with Kawartha Financial Services.
“Through this partnership, we’re supporting students to fulfill their dreams and empower their lives, now and into the future,” says Libro Credit Union President and CEO, and Smith EMBA alumnus, Shawn Good. “We’re strengthening the leaders of tomorrow, which in turn supports economic growth and contributes to the vitality of our communities,” adds Good.
