Smith team wins national marketing case competition

Toronto, ON – This past weekend, the Queen’s Marketing Association hosted the final round of its 2018 Challenge Competition during its annual conference in Toronto. The multi-stage case competition saw 20 teams from 10 schools across the country present marketing strategies for challenge sponsor Canadian Tire. Teams were tasked with developing solutions for engaging one of the fastest growing consumer segments—millennials—with the retailer’s product lineup of camping supplies. This year’s challenge winner was the Smith team of Mariah McCrank and Ava Gladman, both Comm’18, who walked away with $5,000 in prize money.
