MIB Team Gael wins International Graduate Competition at HEC Montreal

Kingston, ON – April 29, 2016 – Four members of the Queen’s Master of International Business class of 2016 made up the winning team at the 5th edition of the International Graduate Competition, held April 23-29 at HEC Montreal.

The week-long competition saw Natalya Karabelska, Krystle Li, Amina Saigol and Kinya Gitonga (Team Gael), prevail over teams representing Concordia University, EM LYON, University of Lausanne, HEC Montreal, University of Florida, University of Sheffield, RMIT University and the University of Waterloo.

Coached by MIB Program Director Jamie Gordon and MIB Program Manager Jennifer McNeely, Team Gael was tasked with identifying key priorities, weighing the benefits and addressing the risks of four interrelated business cases. The team was named the winner after receiving the highest cumulative score based on four areas: depth of analysis, soundness of integrated solutions, quality of written report and strength of oral presentations.

In addition to winning the overall competition, Team Gael also received second place for their written report.
