Kingston, ON — Feb. 4, 2015 —   CBC’s highly successful Dragons’ Den TV series has launched an online version, Dragons’ Den Next Gen Den. Michele Romanow, a Queen’s Engineering and MBA graduate, is one of four Dragons who will be deciding the fate of aspiring entrepreneurs.

Like their TV counterparts, the Next Gen Dragons are pitched business concepts and products and invest their own money in ventures that they think will succeed. Webisodes are shorter than their TV counterparts and are designed for viewing on mobile devices.

Michele is an ideal fit for the show, given its subject matter and innovative platform. At the age of 29, she already has four tech companies under her belt. One of these, Buytopia.ca, is an e-commerce site that has grown to more than 2.5 million subscribers and was featured in QSB Magazine).  Her latest venture, SnapSaves, was sold to Groupon for millions.

The first of twelve weekly webisodes aired on Monday Feb. 2.
