Kingston – Jan. 8, 2014  – The 36th anniversary of the Inter-Collegiate Business Competition (I.C.B.C.) kicked off the New Year on Jan. 2-4, attracting more than 240 attendees, including competitors from around the world as well as judges, faculty advisors, student organizers and volunteers. Teams of undergraduate business students from 23 universities competed, representing business schools from Canada, the U.S., Australia, Hong Kong, and Thailand.

Queen’s Commerce students had a strong showing, capturing first place in the Business Policy and third in the Finance competitions. The other first-place finishes, by competition topic, were:

• University of Calgary (Accounting, and Finance)
• Concordia University (Human Resources)
• McGill University (Debating)
• Dalhousie University (Marketing)
• University of Vermont (Ethics)
• Saint Mary’s University (MIS)
