I came to the Full-time MBA at Smith School of Business because ...

I found the close-knit, team-based working model most appealing. Additionally, I can now understand that 'Queens helps Queens' is not just a USP; it is the reality. While I was researching schools and in the process of applying, I sent LinkedIn notes to graduation classmates in other B-schools and to Queen’s alums whom I did not know, to understand the programs in detail. While I am still waiting to get responses from my 'friends', alums from Queen’s were supportive from the first day. Moreover, while it has only been three months, the team-based structure of this program has helped me fascinatingly improve my soft skills. I cannot imagine any other program offering a similar education with such real-time learnings.

My biggest piece of advice to applicants is: Don’t let the GMAT hold up your application.

I would say that I now know better than to expect right from the beginning of an MBA. More than a degree, an MBA is an experience that prepares you for life. After having many discussions with program staff, coaches and alums, I have come to understand that instead of finding 'a job', I should be searching for 'the job'. An MBA is an excellent opportunity to pivot to a career in my field of interest, and I want to soak in every moment that I spend at Goodes before reaching a decision.
