Full Bio

Cara Chesney is the Director of the Graduate Diploma in in Accounting and an Adjunct Professor at Smith School of Business at Queen's University. She is in the Accounting area where her teaching focuses on preparing students for the Common Final Examination for their CPA designation.

Cara has been working with students in the CPA program obtaining her own designation in 2005 and has been involved in the GDA program since its inception in 2014. She is a regular editor, marker, instructor and facilitator for various organizations and firms throughout Canada, including facilitation and session leading for CPA Ontario, and editing and CPA Canada. She regularly marks the CFE exam itself, having historically marked both Day 2 assurance, and Day 3.

Cara holds a BComm from Queen's University, and LPA, CPA and CA designations. She is also a partner at a local accounting firm in Kingston.
