Cultural Intelligence Workshop (MIB Program)

A Workshop Facilitator position is open at the Smith School of Business to facilitate the Cultural Intelligence workshop in our Master of International Business (MIB) program. This workshop is tentatively set for August 29th from 1 PM to 5 PM in Kingston, Ontario.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree or Ph.D., and familiarity and professional experience in facilitating similar workshops and/or teaching university courses. CQ Certified Facilitator Certification from the Cultural Intelligence Centre is required.

The course is described as follows:

This workshop enhances participants' understanding of cultural intelligence by building on foundational concepts of cultural awareness and diversity management. The session provides a comprehensive introduction to the dimensions of cultural intelligence and delves deeper into its application within higher education and academic teams. The workshop aims to integrate cultural intelligence theory into practical strategies, covering topics such as inclusive communication, team collaboration, and culturally responsive teaching and administration.

Objectives of this workshop:

Support students in a highly diverse cohort by helping them develop the skills needed to work collaboratively and network effectively in a safe and productive environment.

Compensation

Standard faculty workshop hourly rate of $451.33
