profile from 2008
In 2007-2008, Peter McConaghy, BCom’07, spent 12 months in Tajikistan assessing loans for his employer, the First Micro Finance Bank of Tajikistan.
One of the highlights of his work was seeing directly how the people of Tajikistan – a former Soviet republic that borders Afghanistan and one of the world's poorest countries – benefited from the bank’s microcredit activities, he told the School's magazine in 2008.
“One of the highlights of Peter McConaghy's, BCom'07, work was seeing directly how the people of Tajikistan benefited from the bank’s microcredit activities.”
