profile from 2015
Toward the end of the four-month Queen's Summer Innovation Initiative program, Heather Evans and Chris Labelle, along with their teammates, were hard at work bringing Mosaic Manufacturing to life. Their flagship product was an accessory for 3-D printers that makes colour printing possible.
The idea ultimately earned the team the program's top prize: $40,000 in seed funding. "Winning the pitch competition validated all of our hard work. It was an absolutely indescribable feeling, one that we hope will be eclipsed in the future as our business progresses," Chris said.
