BCom convocation hood is bordered with green silk 1922

The 1920's were a period of growing pains for the newly formed School of Commerce and Administration. Early in its history, the program suffered an identity crisis. The Commerce students, although classified as Arts and Science students, were unique because of the vocational flavour of their courses. Thus, in 1922, Miss Alice King, the Registrar, and Professor W. A. Mackintosh recommended that the BCom convocation hood be bordered with green silk to distinguish the graduating Commerce students from those in Arts and Science.
