Queen’s School of Business is coming to Canada’s financial centre to offer a new Master’s program designed for aspiring investment bankers, asset managers and financial analysts. The Master of Management in Finance is an innovative 10-month program that starts in July in the heart of Toronto’s financial district. Classes are held one evening per week and Saturdays, enabling students to continue to work while obtaining this highly sought-after degree.

This intensive and highly focused program has been developed in partnership with the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute. It offers a balance between the theoretical and practical, with sessions taught by a combination of the School’s renowned faculty and industry specialists. Its curriculum includes extensive preparation for CFA Levels 1 and 2 exams and gives students an inside edge in attaining their CFA designation.

“Graduates of the program will have acquired the knowledge and skills needed to make an immediate impact in their organizations,” says Eric LeBlanc, Director, Queen’s Master of Management Programs. “The fact that the curriculum includes subjects covered in the CFA exams will give our graduates a distinct advantage as they complete the requirements for their CFA designation.” The Economist has called the CFA the “gold standard among investment analysis designations.”

“It’s no surprise that the Financial Times has called a Master’s degree in Finance the ‘must-have degree’ for people pursuing a career in investment banking or asset management,” says Professor Sean Cleary, the program’s Academic Director. “Increasing globalization in the financial sector has created the need for recognized qualifications for those who work in finance.”
