Homes of Hope built in Mexico by Commerce students and staff volunteers

While 26 classmates headed to Peru, another group of Commerce students headed south for Reading Week, this time to make a difference in the lives of two families in Tijuana,Mexico. The 46 Commerce students plus three staff members were selected to build houses for two deserving families through the auspices of the Homes of Hope organization. Travel and related expenses were covered thanks to the generous sponsorship of the initiative by Calgary’s Boardwalk Rental Communities, Companies with a Mission, Youth with a Mission, and the QSB Centre for Responsible Leadership.
