Ushpreet Mehta (top photo), Comm’19, was part of a Queen’s team that in April won top prize in the Paul and Tom Kinnear Business Plan Competition. The team, called Dream Again, came up with custom-fitted CPAP masks for people with sleep apnea. Ushpreet says her team will use the competition’s $5,000 prize money to further develop their product. The Paul and Tom Kinnear Business Plan Competition promotes entrepreneurship among Commerce students. It was established in 2008 by Tom Kinnear, BCom’66, LLD’02.

The Queen’s Case Competition Union scored big at the Champions Trophy competition in Auckland, N.Z. in February. The team of (from left in bottom photo) Jordan McTaggart, Eileen Smith, Charmaine Arellano-Chua and Dustin Zhang, all BCom’18, won third place in the annual invitational competition that pits the world’s best university case competition squads against one another.
