Laura Zilney, EMBA, has created the startup, Ignite the Fourth Wave, a prelicence medical cannabis producer and distributor. She says Ignite is Canada's first and only medical cannabis company comprised of an all-female C-suite. The company is located in Erin, ON.

Nadiya Abbas, MIB, married Abdul Mughees in March in ceremonies that took place in Islamabad and Lahore, Pakistan.

Jenna Archer, MBA’16, has launched Flower Girl Goods, a company specializing in handcrafted and hand-painted ceramic smokeware that, she says, “look equally beautiful in bloom (during use) or as décor in your home environment.” Jenna also runs a contemporary ceramic brand (jennaarcher.com), which was featured in the fall 2023 issue of Smith Magazine. “I am happy to share that my ceramics are used daily in homes around the world.”

Alexander Carbone, BCom’16, says he recently graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with an MBA, concentrating in finance and strategic management. He was named a Palmer Scholar for ranking in the top five per cent of his class and received a Ford Fellowship for ranking first in his first year in the program. He lives in Toronto.

She is the owner and CEO of Molok North America Ltd. in Canada and sits on the board of directors at Molok Ltd. in Finland. The company manufactures containers for waste, recyclables, organics, used cooking oil and used clothing. The 2016 Global Corporate Excellence Awards seek to identify and honour the most respected companies and their C-level executives, while recognizing and rewarding outstanding success, innovation and ethics across international business and finance communities.
