Connor O’Shea
Connor O’Shea, EMBAA’17, tells us that his clean energy technology startup Westgen Technologies closed a $21-million Series A funding round in May. Connor, who lives in Calgary, says this funding will help Westgen to expand further into the U.S. with its methane emissions reduction solutions.

Eric Varin, EMBAA, has been appointed VP of client success at OneDay, a video-technology and storytelling platform. Eric worked closely with OneDay as a client-partner in his previous role with Allegro Senior Living.

Brandon Villeneuve, BCom, and Christina Goodfellow were married at Ban Righ Hall on July 31. Brandon says they chose Ban Righ after seeing the hall beautifully transformed for Comm Prom’17. The pandemic did not put a damper on their celebration and they were joined by a safe number of family and friends. The couple lives in Kingston where Brandon coaches fencing at Queen’s and Christina works at Kingston General Hospital.

Charles Vincent, MBA’17, Law’13, died on April 16, following a seven-month battle with cancer. He was 31. After completing his MBA, Charles joined Pape Salter Teillet LLP in Toronto where his focus was on Indigenous rights law and supporting Indigenous clients in growing their economic opportunities. Charles is remembered for his ability to make everyone feel included, his deadpan sense of humour, his love of rich food and his strong moral compass and sense of duty. He is survived by his wife, Annie Orvis, Artsci'14, (they met during their time at Queen's); his parents and two siblings.
