Jason Banducci, MBA, has been appointed vice-president of corporate development for Nevada-based Millennial Precious Metals. Prior to joining Millennial, Jason was VP of investment banking at Stifel Financial Corp., where he covered the mining industry and advised clients on a wide range of strategic initiatives.

Jane Cai, MIB, recently started working at RBC Private Banking as an associate in Richmond Hill, Ont. She supports the acquisition of high-net-worth households and the deepening of existing long-term relationships. In 2014, Jane co-founded the podcast "Girls Daily Talk Show" on Lizhi.fm, a podcast platform in China. She notes that the podcast has “broadcast almost 100 episodes, with a listening base of over 7,087 fans comprising nearly 400,000 streams.” Episodes discuss a wide array of current events, music, sports and other trending topics. In 2017, Jane was awarded the Outstanding Contribution Award by then-MPP Michael Chan in Markham, Ont.

Denisse Cieza, MIB, is working in Calgary as a Trade Marketing Account Representative for Imperial Tobacco Canada. She manages business accounts in Calgary, working as a strategic partner on product knowledge, pricing and distribution. Prior to this, Denisse completed a summer internship at Imperial Tobacco head office in Montreal in the area of trade marketing optimization.

Greg Fedele, BCom, teamed up with Anish Sharma, Sc’17, to launch SwftCharge, a phone-charging solution for people attending music festivals, concerts and other live events, in 2017. He reports that the company has grown from a team of two at inception to 12 and recently closed a $420,000 funding round from a group of investors in the Southeastern Ontario Angel Network (SOAN). “We’re now in the process of operating and executing our phone-charging service at some of the largest and most popular music festivals in North America,” Greg says. ▪

Anne Fergusson, GDB’17, BSc(Eng)’17, won a silver medal in sitting volleyball at the women’s world championship in November 2022 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Canadian team lost to Brazil in five sets (3-2) in the gold medal game. It was Canada’s first-ever trip to the podium in the sport. › Anne was born without a left hand and has played on the national sitting volleyball team since 2013.

Emmanuel Fombu, EMBAA, was asked to serve as an external advisory board member on the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s MIT.nano project. He just published a rationale and design paper on the first-ever study using remote devices to measure physical activity and sleep in heart-failure patients. He was also selected as a finalist in the New York City Health Business Leaders 2017 Boldest Digital Health Influencer Awards.
