Sameer Saifan
Sameer Saifan (MFin) reports the arrival of a “lovely new addition to the family.” Son Leo, born Sept. 11, 2013, delights in crawling into every corner of the family home and loves the song “Five little monkeys jumping on the bed,” says Sameer.

Anirban Sen, EMBA, is Head of Projects in Kurdistan and the Middle-East for Russian oil company Gazprom Neft, which is involved in a Canadian-Russian $2B joint venture.

Jason Tasse

Jason Tasse, EMBA, was named president of Lee Valley Tools in January. Jason retains his previous title of chief operating officer. He is a 25-year employee of the hardware and garden retailer and has been involved in a number of company initiatives, including leading systems implementations, strategic planning and design of Lee Valley Tools’ distribution centre.

Roland Walters (AMBA) has taken on the role of Executive Director, Corporate Finance and Capital Advisory with Deloitte Corporate Finance Inc. Roland and his team assist companies with transactions and in accessing the capital markets. His specialties include mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, debt and equity capital-raising, project finance, capital restructuring, valuations, options/decision analysis, buyouts and sales of minority/majority interests to private equity.

Cameron Wickham, BCom, has been appointed executive vice-chair, CEO and corporate secretary of Spyder Cannabis Inc., a Canadian cannabis and vape retailer. Earlier this year, Cameron became a director, the CEO and corporate secretary of Prime City One Capital Corp., a capital pool company.

Winnie Wong, BCom, joined the Global Fashion Group (GFG) as Project Manager, managing venture launches. Valued at more than $1 billion, GFG is the world’s leading online fashion destination for emerging markets, operating in 27 countries and offering more than 4,000 brands, including Kate Spade, Top Shop, United Colors of Benetton, Ted Baker and Rebecca Minkoff. Winnie now resides in Singapore.

Sara (Dudley) Yip and Matthew Yip (both MBA) were married in Niagara-on-the-Lake in Aug. 2014. They met during their time in the MBA program, now live in Toronto, and are expecting their first child in October.

Michael Zhang
