Diana Pitassi-Lanzillotta, AMBA’14, is now orchestrating the distribution strategy for fintech startup Clip Money, following 15 years in commercial real estate. Diana writes, “My entire career in CRE groomed me to ‘sprint for Clip’” and accelerate the integration of its business banking solutions into premier shopping centres, postal, convenience, big box retail and various other channels in Canada and the U.S. “Being a mom, wife and professional has been extremely rewarding and I am grateful for the amazing relationships and connections I developed from my memorable time at Queen’s,” Diana adds.

Kayson Quach

Kayson Quach, MIB, writes: “I have always wanted to start an online business in the food industry. Therefore, as a side project, I built an e-commerce business selling Asian groceries all across Canada named Haisue.” Then, last year, he and Hany Audeh, MIB’14, met for dinner and decided to become partners in the business, with the goal of turning Kayson’s side project into the leading e-commerce platform in Canada for Asian groceries. “Check out our website at Haisue.ca!” he adds.

Yoanna Sayili
Yoanna Sayili (MSc) and her husband Koray are happy to announce the Sept. 2014 arrival of their firstborn, Michael—a happy and healthy child, Yoanna reports. They are looking forward to taking Michael on his first trip to Europe this summer to visit his grandparents, meet his cousins, and swim in the Mediterranean.

Jordan Speakman, AMBA, tells us that he has joined the Invest Alberta Corporation (IAC) as senior manager of investment programming. He says that the newly-created crown corporation “is dedicated to investment attraction, with a mandate to engage the world and provide high-end, tailored support to investors and major new investment projects.”

A fintech provider of point-of-sale financing solutions, Flexiti earned its spot on the list with three-year revenue growth of 3,245 per cent.

Celine Tarrant, BCom, launched Smart Girls Sweat, a "sweatworking" group that combines working out and networking for professional women in the Toronto area interested in meeting like-minded people and maintaining an active lifestyle. The December inaugural event sold out, attracting 30 professional women for an evening of working out, healthy refreshments and a presentation by Laurel Walzak, EMBA’14, COO of Fitneff Inc. Teresa Vasilopoulos
Teresa Vasilopoulos, EMBA’14, a seasoned fundraising executive, has written a children’s book on the impact of giving. What Can You Do With Just One Dollar? follows Jack Jupiter, Gracie Green and their friends as they come up with imaginative ways to do good in the world with just one dollar. Proceeds of the book will support WoodGreen, Toronto’s largest social services agency. Teresa is the organization’s executive director and was recently named the 2022 Outstanding Professional of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Global.
