Robert (Robbie) Mitchnick, BCom, has started the MBA program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He continues to be involved with the craft beer start-up (a subsidiary of the Gananoque Brewing Company), which he created with fellow BCom’13 grads Ryan Peterson, Donald Gawel and Cord McGee. Their business story has been converted into a widely used business case at Smith and a portion of the company’s revenues has endowed a financial-needs-based scholarship for high-achieving incoming Commerce students.

Augusta White, BCom, was promoted to Manager, in Digital Channel Sales, Strategy and Planning at TD Bank. As a Duke of Edinburgh Award recipient at the Bronze, Silver and Gold levels and as a member of the Ontario chapter fundraising committee, Augusta had the honour of dining with HRH Prince Edward, pictured with Augusta.

Reetika Bhagat, MBA’13, was asked to join Deloitte’s partnership after nine years working for the
company in Calgary. Reetika also let us know that she got married in December 2021 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Colin Brown, MBA’13, Law’14, serves as chief legal officer of The Parent Company, a California-based cannabis company formed by rapper/entrepreneur Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter, entertainment company Roc Nation and leading cannabis operators. Colin also sits on multiple boards and served as vice-president of corporate development for Tilray before its sale in 2021.

Alex Cardenas, EMBAA, was elected president of the Northwest chapter of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine. The chapter covers six states: Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Alaska and Hawaii. Alex’s term as president runs to 2024.

Anando Chatterjee and Aarti Deshmukh
Anando Chatterjee and Aarti Deshmukh, both MBA, married in January and recently moved to Toronto to take up new jobs. Anando works at TeraGo Networks as Product Manager, Cloud Services, and Aarti is employed with Credit Suisse as Assistant Vice-President of Group Finance.
