Doug Jordan

Doug Jordan, MBA, let us know that he’s published his latest novel, The Treasure of Stella Bay. Set on Amherst Island in the 1960s, it tells the story of 12-year-old Alex Jorgenson, whose family has moved to the island and who must find his way in this new environment. Along the way, he makes new friends and has many adventures, including building a secret hideout and solving an old mystery. Doug says he drew on his inner Mark Twain and Stephen Leacock to write the book. afspublishing.ca

Doug Jordan, MBA, has shifted his career from executive coach and strategic consultant at AFS Consulting, to writing and publishing his own books through AFS Publishing. His latest book, Travels With Myself, a Journal of Discovery and Transition, narrates his struggles with grief, love and mental health following his wife Marlene’s diagnosis with breast cancer and her passing in 2017. He hopes others will find meaning and understanding in the book for themselves.

Doug Jordan, MBA, BA’68, self-published a book on management effectiveness in February 2016, inspiring him to try his hand at another genre: humour. He published The Maxim Chronicles in August 2016, and was still energetic enough to immediately start writing the sequel. These efforts prompted him to launch AFS Publishing, a resource for burgeoning authors.
