New technology supports BCom Plus 1998

One of the focal points of the 'BCom Plus' rejuvenated Commerce curriculum introduced in 1998, was the integration of technology into the classroom. This included interactive case studies, CD-ROM texts and internet access at each desk. Students were increasingly using laptops for downloading program materials, accessing library resources and conducting internet research.

"We do a lot of group work, and it's really easy to meet anywhere when you have a laptop," said Andrew Medd, BCom'99, one of five learning technology assistants in the Commerce program who helped faculty and students use the new technologies.
