Why I went to business school: In high school I was interested in foreign affairs and international development. I decided that as business heavily influenced the world, it would be helpful to understand how businesses worked. The program opened doors for me I never expected. 

One thing I learned at Smith I’ll never forget is ... “Tell me more” three words to help me continue a conversation with anyone.

My motto: Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a great battle. 

A highlight of my time at Smith: Late nights spent in Goodes Hall. I really grew to love the building, and the community within it.

Best advice to future students: There’s power in recognizing you do not (and never will) know everything. Ask questions and be willing to change your mind. Try to observe without judgement and be aware of your internal biases. Learn to manage your ego, and always be able to laugh at yourself.
