Bella bikes 2016
Helen Vasilevski,
BCom'92
profile from 2016
As the highest-ranking woman in the U.S. motorcycle industry, Helen Vasilevski, CEO of Italian manufacturer MV Agusta, knew she had a lot to prove. Helen was well prepared, though. When she first began in the bike industry, she neither spoke Italian or knew how to ride a motorcycle, so she quickly learned both.
Smith Magazine caught up with Helen in 2016, when she was only spending one of every eight weeks at home in Switzerland; the rest she spent travelling throughout the U.S. preaching the benefits of Agusta bikes and in Italy at the company's headquarters. "Over the course of a year," said Helen, "I probably see at least 20 to 25 of my classmates, many of them fellow expats whom I look up on my travels."
