Katherine Wong Too Yen (BCom) left her job in advertising account management at MacLaren McCann in May to join Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment as Ticket and Event Support – World Juniors. She’ll be working on the 2015 World Junior Hockey Championship, which will take place Dec. 26, 2014 to Jan. 5, 2015 in Toronto.

Rich Wall (BCom), in August 2014, joined Jefferies McFarland Wealth Advisors, a wealth-management group with TD Wealth Private Investment Advice that has served clients for the past 19 years. The office is located in Kingston’s historic and newly renovated Smith Robinson Building, the former home of S&R department store.

Sidd Mukherjee (EMBA)Â is the Corporate Contracts Manager at Bantrel, a company with 30 years of experience in project engineering and management. In Feb. 2013, he delivered a lecture on contract management to an engineering management class at the University of Calgary, and in Sept. he spoke at the Canadian Oil & Gas Contract Management conference in Calgary. He reports that sharing his knowledge and giving back to his community are sources of great satisfaction.

Brodie Pattenden, AMBA, and Carol Fenton were married in June 2016 at the Calgary Zoo. The party, led by fellow AMBA’12 grads, lasted long into the night, Brodie reports.

Dave Watson, AMBA, and his wife Julia announce the birth of their second son, Jack James Bruce Watson, born January 25. Says Dave, “Life with two boys has been wonderful yet busy, hence the embarrassingly delayed update.”

James Armstrong, AMBA, was recognized by Oil and Gas Investor magazine as one of 2016's “Thirty Under 40”, “the next generation of leaders who are shaping” the industry, the only Canadian to make the list. The magazine receives more than 200 submissions for this distinction, so James was honoured to have been acknowledged.

Olga Mirzoeva, BCom, has wrapped up three years as a Trade Commissioner with Global Affairs Canada as the lead on Canadian bilateral trade and investment relationships with Tanzania, Comoros and Seychelles. She has fond memories of performing in a contemporary dance production in Nairobi, watching turtles lay eggs on the beach in Comoros and riding an ostrich. Her next adventure is an MA in International Law at University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies.
