Claudio Soares, EMBAA, was appointed Head of the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Health Sciences at Queen’s University. Claudio first joined the university in 2016 as a professor in the Department of Psychiatry, and in 2017 became a Director of the Fellowship Program in the same department. His clinical research has been primarily dedicated to mood disorders and women’s mental health issues. To date, he has co-authored more than 150 publications and has presented his work nationally and internationally.

Amélie St-Onge Tousignant, AMBA, was recently appointed to the position of regional manager for Canada at Micromine Ltd., a mining software company headquartered in Perth, Australia. Amélie works from the company’s Canadian head office in Vancouver. She’s in the process of opening a second office in Toronto to service the eastern Canadian market. Amélie spent the past nine years with Export Development Canada and occupied a variety of positions within that organization across Canada and internationally.

Ryan Vanjoff, AMBA’15, has joined Leaders International Executive Search as the principal responsible for the Saskatchewan market. Ryan, his partner Kimberly and their five children live in Saskatoon. The kids attend French immersion schools “and already speak better French than their father,” Ryan writes.

Srinagesh Vitthanala, EMBAA, is now the CEO of Bright Funds. Bright Funds is a hosted technology platform for workplace philanthropy. Bright Funds works with such companies as Cisco, VMware, Box, Campbell Soup, Intuitive Surgical and Morningstar on their programs for social good. Prior to this role, Sri was the company’s chief technology officer and chief product officer.

Curt Walker (EMBA) was recently honoured with a fellowship by the Certified Management Accountants Society of British Columbia (CMABC). The fellowship (FCMA) designation is awarded to Certified Management Accountants in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the profession of management accounting and the community at large. Curt has had a distinguished career in the resort, hospitality, and tourism sectors and, most recently, with a First Nations community. He is currently the chief administrative officer for the Lil’wat Nation and lives in Pemberton, B.C.
