Brian Lenahan (BCom) is now Associate Vice President, North American Claims and Recoveries for TD Bank Group, and is based in Mount Laurel, NJ, and Markham, Ont. He is also proud to be mentoring Queen's business students as a Qvisor, through the QSB Business Career Centre.

John McVicar, BCom, and Kathryn Milroy, Artsci'87, relocated from Calgary to Johannesburg, South Africa, in July 2015. John is a Partner at EY and now leads the Finance Improvement practice for EY across Africa. Both John and Kathryn are loving their experience in Africa and look forward to exploring the continent as much as possible during their three-year posting. This is their first "empty nest" experience, with their three children all staying behind in Canada (though they are making regular visits to Africa). Andrew (BSc(Eng)’13) is working for TransCanada in Calgary; James is graduating from Bishop's University and moving to Toronto; and Natalie is graduating from Brentwood College on Vancouver Island and will be joining the Queen's Class of 2020 in the fall.

Patti Perras Shugart, BCom, has been named in the Corporate Executive category of WXN's list of the 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada for 2015. Patti is Managing Director and Head, Corporate Banking and Global Credit, at RBC Capital Markets.

Patti has become known for her work with Women in Capital Markets, an organization dedicated to the professional development and advancement of women at all levels within Canada’s broad investment industry.

Gordon Whittaker, BCom’86, joined Screen Nova Scotia in June 2022, where he is leading the organization’s film and television studio project—a more than $30-million initiative to build the first-ever purpose-built sound stage for the province’s growing screen-based industry.

David Anderson, BCom’85, let us know that he has retired from Synnex Corporation as AVP of finance after a more than 25-year career. He and his wife plan to spend more time at their cottage in Muskoka, Ont., and intend to travel to some of their favourite spots in the world.
