Victor Pakalnis, EMBA, was appointed Associate Vice President at Laurentian MIT (Mining Innovation and Technology) in November. He continues as President and CEO of MIRARCO Mining Innovation. He recently chaired the 36th International Conference of Safety in Mines Research — the first time the conference has been held in Canada.

Catriona Verner, BCom, Law’99, was appointed a judge of the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario in June 2020. After law school graduation, Catriona began her practice in criminal defence work and later criminal appeals. At the time of her appointment, Catriona was with Lockyer Campbell Posner LLP, where her work was almost exclusively at the Court of Appeal for Ontario and the Supreme Court of Canada.

The Moolala Guide to Rockin’ your RRSP is a follow-up to his personal finance book, Moolala, a best seller on The Globe and Mail’s business-book list. Bruce writes a column for Moneysense Magazine, is a regular contributor to CBC TV’s Lang & O’Leary Exchange, and speaks about personal finance at events across the country. He lives with his family in Toronto.
