Going Green

The expansion will conform to the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) “green” building rating system. To achieve LEED certification, the expansion incorporates a number of design elements and initiatives that promote sustainability and reduce energy use, such as:

  • A “green” roof
  • Water-saving plumbing fixtures
  • High-efficiency light fixtures and mechanical equipment
  • Greenguard™-certified furniture
  • A “green” cleaning program
  • Bicycle storage and showering facilities
