Crystal Kuan and David Brent (both BCom) are pleased to announce their upcoming nuptials, to take place July 4 at the Design Exchange in Toronto. They currently live in London, U.K., where Crystal works at Apollo Asset Management and David at Rolls-Royce.

Robert Marsh (BCom) is relying on the support of his fellow QSB alumni in his pursuit to become Canada’s Next Great Prime Minister, a national competition produced by the CBC. At press time, Robert was leading the voting among 150 other candidates from across the country. Robert is counting on all QSB alumni to vote online before January 14th, 2009 by visiting the link above. If successful in capturing one of the final four spots in the competition, Robert would be debating his competitors on a nationally-televised program featuring four former Canadian Prime Ministers.

Glenda Ouellette, EMBA, is now working with Intact Insurance in Vancouver as Director of Operations for the British Columbia region. Her youngest son, Nicolas, is a member of the Commerce Class of 2020.

Oonagh Fitzgerald (EMBA) is now the Director of the International Law Research Program for the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI). Prior to this appointment, Oonagh was National Security Coordinator for Canada’s Department of Justice.

Oonagh Fitzgerald (EMBA) sends greetings to classmates from her post in the Department of National Defense as Canadian Forces Legal Advisor. After two years there, she has developed a particular interest in governance and risk management. She is also teaching two courses at the University of Ottawa: “Public and Social Governance” in the Masters Program at the Faculty of Public Administration and “International Corporate Governance and Social Responsibility” at the Faculty of Law. An article Oonagh co-wrote with James Ngombe on “Malawi Business Against Corruption” was recently published in The Business of Sustainable Development in Africa. Now she’s trying to write a textbook about international corporate governance and social responsibility and would enjoy hearing from others interested in this topic.

Brian W. Harvey, BCom, reports that he works as a quality and patient-safety specialist for Niagara Health in Ontario. “I provide leadership and support in the implementation, maintenance, and integration of quality improvement and patient-safety processes at five hospital sites,” he says. In June 2017, a safety initiative on which he worked won the 2017 National Award for Excellence in Patient Safety from the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
