Sean Roberts, BCom, recently left private equity to join an early-stage real estatetechnology startup in New York City. He is CFO and head of real estate at Perch. The company, he says, is “building an online marketplace to revolutionize and simplify the experience of buying and selling residential real estate.”

Roy Sudipto
Roy Sudipto (EMBA) was promoted to Supervisor, Corporate Contracts at ConocoPhillips Canada, effective October 2012. Assisted by a team of contracts specialists reporting to him, Roy is responsible for managing all corporate contracts of the company’s operations in Canada.

Sean M. Taylor
Sean M. Taylor (MBA) was just promoted to Senior Product Manager with Chrome Systems in Portland, OR, a business unit of DealerTrack. In this role Sean will be directly responsible for Chrome’s suite of vehicle description products as well as all data services for the U.S. and Canada.

Liana (Mary) Tesan, AMBA, died June 3, at the age of 32, in Vaughan, Ont. She cultivated an exceptional business career, becoming an executive at the age of 27. Education and work were her passions. She is survived by her spouse Aldaine Chia, and her father Bruno and his wife, Carol Seifert. Donations to The Liana Tesan Memorial Fund at Queen's would be appreciated by the family (visit givetoqueens.ca and search for The Liana Tesan Memorial Fund).

Michael Timmins, EMBA, was appointed CEO of Emerita Resources. Michael is a mining executive with over 20 years of technical experience and corporate development at Agnico Eagle Mines Limited and Placer Dome Inc. Michael had been Vice President, Corporate Development at Agnico Eagle.

Alexandra Tracy, BCom, is moving to Lao PDR this year to take up the deputy country director’s role for the Clinton Health Access Initiative, after six years in Geneva with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Alexandra recently completed an MSc in Health Economics, Policy and Management at the London School of Economics. There, she received the Brian Abel-Smith prize for best overall performance.

Kam Wong (EMBA) and wife Anjulia embarked on a three-week cruise from Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Santiago, Chile, by rounding Cape Horn after completion of his EMBA in December 2007. Recently, Kam completed a two-month journey in southern and western Africa (Ghana and Mali). It has been a fantastic experience, he says.

Ji Yoon

Ji Yoon, AMBA’08, has been appointed president and CEO of Canstar Restorations in Vancouver. “In my spare time, I run the local GTR car club, hosting local events and charity events for the BC Children’s Hospital toy drive,” he says.

Ji Yoon, AMBA, was named CFO at Vancouver-based On Side Restoration Services Ltd., an emergency restoration company with branches from Victoria to St. John’s, Nfld. Previously, he was Director of Finance and Accounting at SeaStar Solutions, a leader in marine hydraulic systems and commercial heating systems.

Brian Harvey (BCom) is currently enrolled in the Master of Public Administration, Health Policy and Management program at NYU Wagner. He received a scholarship awarded to a limited number of students based on the strength of their applications and likelihood of future contributions to the NYU Wagner community. Brian is also completing a graduate-level internship at Mount Sinai Health System’s Program Management Office in New York City.
