Ron Stenzl, BCom, sold his interest in Leeds Transit and retired in 2014, after nearly 30 years helping to build one of North America's biggest school and commercial bus dealerships. He has now embarked on a new career as President & CEO of Snell Golf Canada, an online venture selling golf balls designed and manufactured by Dean Snell, a 25-year veteran in R&D for such companies as Titleist® and Taylormade®. Ron also continues to coach girls’ high school basketball at Rideau District High in Elgin, and lives with his wife Janice in Gananoque, Ont.

Tamara Vandersluis, BCom, has been having fun working with the IT resources, infrastructure and integration provider R2i for the last two years as a Senior IT Specialist. The company attracts customers from across North America and specializes in highly available architecture, including IBM i in the cloud. Tamara is also working on a start-up offering equine-based leadership training, which she expects will be up and running in the near future.

Elizabeth Christo (BCom) died April 19 in Simcoe, ON, aged 52. She had worked at the Multi Service Centre and Michael Bossy Group in Tillsonburg, ON. She is survived by her son Carl and three brothers.

Sheilagh Campbell (BCom) is an Assistant Professor at the University of Regina’s Paul J. Hill School of Business, where she teaches Business Ethics and HR/ Industrial Relations. Sheilagh, who has a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations (MIR) from U of T, earned her PhD in Management from St. Mary’s University in Halifax last year.

Toby Wong and Cheryl Scott (both BCom’84) report that the 2014 Calgary Stampede was a true homecoming for them as native Calgarians, and now U.S. residents. Toby and her children Madison (9) and Lincoln (6) travelled from their Chicago home, Cheryl from Seattle. Their mini-reunion included Cheryl’s sister Laura Scott (BCom’82), a Calgary resident, and classmate Tracy Stone, who joined in via Skype from Toronto. Marta Burns, BCom, was in February named Justice of the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta in Edmonton by Canada’s Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Jody Wilson-Raybould. She was previously senior litigation counsel with the Alberta Ministry of Justice and Solicitor General.
